The King in Yumbo
This is a twine game about an unpleasant-looking sandwich I and some freinds saw on the internet, and became obsessed with. It's also a horror story about consumerism, brand eating, internet food crimes, and late-stage capitalism.
i wrote it with contributions from my talented friends Jeremy, Adam, and Andy, and so have not put it up for sale - you can download and play it for free. We hope you enjoy this awful thing!
Content Warnings: This place is pretty dark in tone, and contains eldritch horror, body horror, and imagery of nuclear apocalypse, capitalist brutality and lots and lots of food crimes. Please play with caution and look after yourself.
Chapbook games are not currently designed for mobile play - you are welcome to try but because of the way smartphones store and open html files and assets it may not work. Please also note that this is my first game so there may be errors and bugs - for instance, if you restart the font reverts to the default font and I don't know why. The font may also not display correctly on Safari. This shouldn't affect how the game plays, just if you want to see the game as intended it plays best on chrome or firefox.
Update: 19/12/23 - updated the game to fix a broken link in the bus stop branch.
